Mr Thinet (France)

A remote and beautiful farm to spend some relaxing time in the Karoo as a couple or as a family. Charming, friendly and helpful people. Good food. Special thanks for Esther's kindness.

“Better than fantastic”
If you want to visit another planet on earth, then go to Ganora Guest Farm.
We have had the honour, priviledge and pleasure of staying there 5 times,
and have never experienced anything like it.
Hester and JP have created a magnificent oasis in a farm working environment.
Hospitality, food and accomodation are top notch.
The museum is absolutely unique and well worth a guided tour by Hester or JP.
One of the highlites of our visit is the Meerkats. It is unbelievable to experience
the interaction between the Meerkats, dogs - and also the guests.
Once the Meerkats are comfortable with you, they become very friendly and can be picked up and cuddled - Hesters influence.
There are also a lot of interesting places to visit close by, especially the town of Graaff-Reinett and the Valley of Desolation.
Cant wait to go back.

Fabulous family time
Mr McKenzie (South Africa)
Go to Ganora to experience something unusual. Your hosts are fine, friendly people. The farm is fascinating, the accommodation just right and the location stunning. This is an almost forgotten part of South Africa but so vital and alluring. The rock art and amazing fossils crown the place and put a true perspective on the current picture.

We had a fabulous family time.

Mr Askew (South Africa)
I was very pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the accommodation and friendliness of the owners. There was no wanting for any extras all details were covered right down to a lovely indoor fireplace, wood provided daily and even games in the cupboard. The fossil museum was also very interesting and an asset to the area.
